Performing Latin based acoustic guitar music with manic energy, Cantua’s appeal is broad, with touches of jazz, classic rock, Spanish favorites and Tin Pan Alley standards in his eclectic sets. It’s all tied together by his masterful playing, in the process making him a firm festival favorite: Amongst the events he’s been a part of are the San Diego County Fair, Gator By The Bay, Chicano Park Day, NAMM and Art Around Adams, all while recording on his own as well as in collaboration with such bands as The Falling Doves, Marujah, Todo Mundo and many more.
